In tracing back my Grub(e) line, I encounter one Casper Grube, Jr. who married Catherine Reidenbaugh. Casper and Catherine had a son named Peter, born 1800 and baptised at First Reformed, Lancaster. Casper and Catherine are included in the marriage roster/records there as having been married 23 August 1797.
One generation further back I "have" that Catherine was the daughter of John Peter Reidenbaugh and Elizabeth {nee unknown}. I "have" that Peter was born about 1740 in "Germany" but no death date. I "have" that Elizabeth was born 24 November 1741 in "Germany" and do "have" a death date of 7 December 1826, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for her.
Can anyone share any more about either Peter or Catharine that will get me to documentation about them? To this point, other than online gedcoms, I'm not having a lot of luck in this direction.
From Peter Grub(e) to later events, he married Anna "Nancy" Landis, daughter of John "Hill" Landis and Margretha Elizabetha Snevely/Snavely and had a daughter named Margaret. Margaret Grube married Philip Pontius and had a daughter named Anna Grube Pontius. Anna Grube (Pontius) Hittle was my great grandmother.
Thus, my connection to the Reidenbaughs.
