A.A.Rhaefschneider 1790 PA >1870's OH

This is my first time out on this branch of the family tree. I am interested in any information on the parents and family of Armignal Adelaide Rhaefschneider-Lewis. According to census records, she was born abt 1790 in Pennsylvania, lived in Columbiana Co. OH (1820-1840), and in Hardin Co. OH (1850 - abt 1872).

I'm having trouble with her name! Census records show her as A(something) M. or as Magdaline, and the hyphenated last name makes me wonder if it was possibly a first marriage. I don't have any background in researching German immigrant ancestors. Is Armignal a common name, a form of another name, or a creative misspelling like "Rhaefschneider"?

Any tips or information about the name or family of this ancestor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
