My Mother said that grandma's father (Robert Riemer) came over after the Prussian war with his brother, that they had both been soldiers, that He, (Robert) was very tall (over 6 feet), that they had come to Milwaukee first , that he had become a lawyer and a judge in WI before moving to Sioux Falls, SD. We don't have any other info on his family so anything would be apprieciated. Also have had a friend looking for me and she hsurmises a birthdate in WI, between 1845-1876. So the Prussian war thing may be a reference to his father or grandfather that was garbled in retelling.
