thanks for the reply! I checked to see what I had found for this family recently and it looks like I found a listing in the 1860 census for Scott Twp, Columbia Co that shows "E. Reimer" with 3 of the children's names that are in the 1850 census that you mentioned for Nescopeck. The ages do not match very well, but that is not a big surprise! The child in 1860 I am looking closely at is simply listed as "H", as the daughter of the head of the household and is 8 years old. This age would be a perfect match with the Harriet Elizabeth I am looking for. If this is actually Hannah Reimer then I guess I am back out on the trail. Since Isaac is not shown in this 1860 census, do you know the year he died? That may help me rule in or rule out this family -- if Isaac was still living in 1860, then this probably is a different family and there might be a spark of hope that this is Harriet's family.
