Hi,
I am wondering if your Stephen Reindl and his wife came to the US alone. Or did they come with a larger family? I am researching my gr grandfather's wife's family. Wenzel Reindel (b Sep 1829) is said to have come to the US around 1851, and I do not know if he came alone or with relatives. He married Gertrude Steffens (unsure of the surname spelling; b Jun 1836 in Germany) in WI, and had about 9 children. One was Katherine (Katie; b 12 Oct 1859) who married Mathias Schmiedlin -- my great grandparents. Mathias' family had settled in Sauk county WI, but I believe that Katie was from another location in WI, tho I am not sure.

Does anyone know the names of any of Katie's siblings? Or where in Bohemia her father was from?

Thanks,
Julie Schmiedlin Edwards
