Richard A. Reinhart, 78, of Brick, passed away on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Brick. Born in Newark, he lived in South Orange and Ocean Beach prior to moving to Brick in 1996. He graduated Newark State University with a Bachelor's degree in teaching. Mr. Reinhart worked as a teacher in Wall Township, Samoa, Hawaii, and East Orange. He retired from East Orange High School in 1999 and became a substitute at the Ocean County Vocational Schools.

Surviving are his three children, Richard S. Reinhart and his wife Josie of Las Vegas, NV, Amanda Reed and her husband James of Jackson, and Susan Reinhart; one sister, Helen Carlson of CT; and 5 grandchildren, Patsy, Ricky, Josh, Emily and Christopher.

There are no viewing hours. All services were held privately under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Brick.
