I have a Johanna Petronella Reintjes (b: June 8, 1769 in Kessel, Netherlands/d: Aug 1835) My Johanna was the dau of Rutger and Mechitlde Van Den Berg Reintjes. Rutger was born Jan 21, 1731/32 in Hommersum, Netherlands, mar. May 22, 1764 in the Catholic church in Hommersum, d: Feb 10, 1792 in that city. Rutger was the son of Henricus(b: 1703)and Wilhelmine Hoenselaers Reintjes. Henricus was the son of Rutger and Maria Coenen Reintjes (both are reported to have died in 1724 in Hommersum, Netherlands. My grgrgrfa Johannes Heinrich Stoffelen (b: Mar 9, 1803) was the son of Gerardus and Johanna P. Reintjes Stoffelen/Stoffels. Johannes H. Stoffelen & wf Henrianna Van Eyck Stoffelen came to USA in May 1858 and settled in Washington Co., WI. Their dau Gertrude Stoffelen/Stoffels married John Gerhard and had a son Martin John Gerhard (Name spelling changed to Gayhart about 1870.) Their dau Elizabeth Mary (b: Apr 1, 1863) married Dennis O'Connell. Their son Louis was my father. My great, great grandfather Johannes(John) Stoffelen/Stoffels had a sister Theodora who married a Jacob Peters, immigrated approximately the same year and settled in Wisconsin. There are a large number of descendants from both of these Stoffelen/Stoffels families.
