According to information submitted to the LDS church, Jacob Reiswig and his wife immigrated from Walter, Volga, Russia. Jacob first lived in Liberty twp., Marion Co., KS (they were enumerated there for the 1880 census). By 1900 the family had moved to Oklahoma.

Jacob immigrated with his wife and four sons: Henry, Christian, Jacob, and George.

Your great grandfather John Reiswig is a son of Christian.

I have both the census records for Oklahoma and census added to my website. Each of the records are listed under the links for each state at:

In addition, we have a private family site where we are working at building family trees, swapping photos, stories and more.
I will send you a separate email about how you can join!
