As some have mentioned here, the University of Washington has been working on a study of Russian German people and the Alzheimer disease for the past 13 years. Researchers there believe that a mutant gene was embedded in our families genetic code because of the nature of the intermarrying in our tiny villages in Russia. There was an extensive article in the Spokesman Review (Spokane, WA) in July 1991 about the research. I will look for it for all of you.
