Walter,

I have again gone thru the Remsen family section of Riker's ANNALS OF NEWTOWN and I find no Rem who would have been b. ca. 1760. However not all the lines are carried out and there are 8 Rems that I note, all identified with the NY area. None of them was b. as late as 1760. There is one line of 4 generations of Rems. It certainly seems likely that your earliest Rem would have been part of this family but the evidence is not in this book. Somewhere there must be more records of NY Remsens. I am sorry I have no better information.

Ed.
