I am trying to find out what happened to one of my grandfather's younger sisters. According to notes I found in family papers, Kathleen MCLAUGHLIN was born 29 Sep 1895, and she married Martin J. REMSEN. No further information is provided. Is this Martin the same as the Martin Johnson REMSEN mentioned in the biography of Isaac Cornell REMSEN is _Portrait and Biographical Record of Queens Co, Long Island, New York_ ; NY : Chapman Publishing, 1896? If so, this would seem to be an unlikely match up, as the REMSEN family in this biography is listed as Republican and Dutch Reformed Church, and the MCLAUGHLIN family in question were all Democrats and Roman Catholic. Montagus and Capulets, anyone?
Hope to hear from someone!
