Hello I have a "Jack"(possibly John?) Rendle who married my Great Grandmother after her first husband died, along with their young son Ned, in a fishing accident. My Great Grandmother was Charlotte Greep whose deceased husband was Alexander Richard Potter. Plymouth, Devon, was their home. A.R. Potter drowned in ~1900, after which she married Mr. Rendle. Conceivably, Jack became stepfather to Charlotte's surviving children: Edgar,Lillian, Alexander Richard and William Henry. Alexander Richard (my Grandfather) and William Henry emigrated to Canada in ~1910 after which "Harry" (W.H.) joined the CEF and was killed at Vimy Ridge Mar 9, 1917. Charlotte died May 11, 1917, within weeks of receiving his death notice. I'd love to find out what happened to Jack and the remaining children. I have some sketchy details of the children but nothing concrete. I have a photo of Charlotte and Jack, and, if one can judge by photos, he looks like a nice man. Please let me know if you know of this man. Thank You Michele Potter Ontario, Canada
