I am certain it is the same Thomas Rendle. I am also a direct descendent of Thomas Rendle, b 1800 and died 1858. I show that he was married to an Amelia May, born 1800 and died in 1889. I do not have a daughter from this marriage by the name of Lydia. I do have a son named Alfred Rendle (1831-1910) who married Lydia Pavitt Archer in 1871. Does this fit with your research? I inherited my genealogy tree and do not have the backup. Perhaps something is a little off. I show my relatives as having lived in the Paignton area before some of them migrated to Canada in the mid 1800s. Please e-mail me with more information on our family. It would be fun to find a cousin!
