Hi Marilyn, I have just read your posting on genforum with interest.
I have visited these graves here in Nova Scotia and taken photos of them. Sadly, the inscriptions are wearing away, but as far as we could see or make out Alexander died on March 28th 1817 age 76. Elizabeth his wife died May 19th 1845 age 79.
As far as we know Alexander came from Scotland, a large family of 16. He immigrated to the states,where they were known as loyalists and due to the uprisings and unrest came to Nova Scotia to live on a military land grant. He was a boat builder to trade. The original deed 1810 to St Peter's burial ground has Alexander Renfrew's signature on it.
