My father, Jasper Ephraim Cobb, early childhood in Missouri around Odessa, Holden and the Chapel Hill community and college (destroyed in the Civil War) always spoke fondly of "the Renicks" -- who intermarried with the Wagoners (his mother's family). As I remember, there were many Renicks there then. And many many Cobbs and Wagoners from about 1830 on.
