Perhaps you can help understand something. I have an 1870 family letter in which America M.(Jones)Maddox 1798-1872, daughter of Uriah Jones and Mary Rennick writes about her grandmother and says this: "Polly Chambers, before she married, Married James Rennick. Lived in Woodford County Kentucky. Polly Chambers Sister lived in Boston about the year 1790. Her name was Sprauge." Earlier in the letter, America's step-sister-in-law, Henry Holeman's second wife, Nancy Nash writes the name Renick, with one N.

This James Renick/Rennick and Polly Chambers are my 5th greatgrandparents and seem to fit the family listed in your message. The LDS has two familes that a James Rennick/Renick could fit into. One is William Rennick and Ann Hamilton, and the other is your William Renick and Mary Dugan. Mary and Polly seem to go hand in hand back in those days so I have her entered in my data as Mary Polly Chambers.

I had locked onto William Rennick and Ann Hamilton until I saw your message. It looks like that I more than likely come from Mary Dugan and James Renick.

Could you help me here? I don't have anymore info than I am getting out of the LDS Family Search. Any help would sure be appreciated.

Thanks, Tom
