Dana,
I got chills when I saw your posting. And so recent!

My mom is Lucy Ann Renick-Kroger. Danny is my cousin. I have a ton of information.

I think I can help you with your search. First, start looking for Robert Dickson Renick. his wife is Sarah Ann Correll. Oddly, I have been on the computer all morning tracing the Renicks back - and found on Familysearch.org the track tracing Robert back to Ireland (1655).

There is also a book, The Renicks of Greenbriar. Aunt Lorene (Carson)(on a good day) may have the book. I have the wish to get the book, so i'm checking at Borders and Barnes & Noble here in Lee's Summit. Some of our relatives have been captured by Indians, children were born in captivity, and one baby was bashed against a tree for crying and annoying the Indian captors.

Feel free to email me directly. I'm currently using Perfect Family Tree software, which uses the GEDCOM standard the Mormans utilze for their records.

So ask Danny when we're having another reunion??
Daneen
