Have you heard of a William Renick Bowden, b 1851 in WV? He was my great grandfather. His daughter Mattie in a 1956 notation listed his parents as William Renick Sr. and Virginia? Cousins assure me that WRB 1851 was the son of a Bowden female and a wandering Renick (Kentucky horse farmer?). I can find nothing one way or the other. Was Mattie just saving face, or was she the one who had it right? Who cares about the particulars? We just want to know who our ancestors were and thus, who we are!!! ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
