Well, I am always interested, and would appreciate anything you are willing to share. I'm particularly interested in any documentation that exists on these folks.
I am not, by the way, a descendant of the Renick family. I am descended from Ann Archer, the sister of Betsy, so these Renicks are first cousins many times removed. That does not lessen my interest in their story. In another place, I had last year a lengthy exchange with Carter Revard, a well-known Osage Indian scholar and poet, who knew Cab Renick, a Choctaw who played basketball on the U.S. Olympic team many years ago. Carter wondered whether Cab might have been a descendant of Joshua. Thanks to the contributions of others, we were able quickly to establish his connection to this Renick family--although not through Joshua. I think some of those messages may be posted on this surname forum.
