Dear David,

this is a quick note as I am at my desk at work with a busy day ahead (teaching). Renn is a relatively unusual name and my research seems to indicate that they spread from London and are very much in the south of England. I have traced my ancestry back so far to a marriage in 1790 and they are both Londoners. Apart from London the largest group seems to be based in the Slough/Windsor area. I know the region quite well as I lived in Slough during my teenage years and went to school there. Windsor is only 3 miles away. I am interested to hear from you as, although I am in correspondance with some Renns from California, they are originally from Germany (Renn does seem to have Dutch / Germanic origins).

Is there something specific you would like to know?

Chris Renn
