Renouf Guernsey CI >PA>OH>IL

I have traced my family back to St. Martin, Guernsey, CI. But I have been unable to find out if they came straight from Guernsey into PA, USA or if they went to Canada first. My ancestor that came to the USA from Guernsey was Nicholas Renouf m. to Rachel Robert. I would say they arrived in the USA somewhere around 1838 or earlier. Nicholas, as well as Rachel were born in Aug. 1801. They had 3 or 4 children that came with them to the US and then had several more after they arrived here, 1 of which is my gg grandfather, Charles D. Renouf, m. 1st Zantippe, m. 2nd Nancy J. Beaner Andrews. Most of my side of the family settled in either Pittsburg, PA, Tarentum, PA or Beaver Falls, PA before going into OH then IL. I have Nicholas' family back to his grandfather and Rachel's family back even further. If you have information to share or anything that you could share with me I would really love to hear from you.
