My name is Charlotte May Renouf Hamilton and I was b. in Racine, WI and raised basically in Waukegan, IL. My father's name is Duwayne E. Renouf and he has two brothers, Lyle and Melvin. Dad's parents were Ernest Edwin Renouf and Florence Myrtle Jewell Renouf. Grandpa Renouf and 2 bros. and 1 sister. They were Francis Marion, Charles Harold and Elma Madge Renouf. We all lived within 50 to 60 miles of each other for years. I never knew there were any other Renoufs in the Chicago area. Can you tell me more about yourself, who your parents were etc. Could we be related???????????

My family came from OH via Pennsylvania. (Pittsburgh, Tarentum and Beaver Falls area)

I have Grandpa Renouf's family traced back to the Channel Islands, namely Guernsey. I loved the history that you gave. I was told, several years ago, by a gentleman in France that the Renouf name is a very old Scandinavian name. It wasn't until recently that I figured out that it is most likely Danish.

I would sure love to hear more about your family and to share what I have.

Looking forward to hearing from you, I remain,
