Hello Richard, It is a long time since you posted your request but I now have some answers for you.Maria Renouf was buried 11 Aug 1710 at the Town Church Guernsey. She was married to Isaac Carey on 15 Oct 1667 at St Saviours. They had a son Isaac bapt 21 Feb 1688/69 whose godparents were Pierre Carey senior James Careye and Dame Elizabeth de Saumarez.
Maria came from an illustrious family Her father Jean was one of the 12 Commissioners appointed by Parliament to govern Guernsey in 1643. [ Guernsey supported Parl not the Royalists in the Civil War]. Maria's family intermarried with all the other leading families at that time.Her grandfather was said to be Jean of Normandy.
I have more information if you want more. This family line seems to die out in Guernsey so I assume they went to England. Cheers Jacky in NZ
