I "connect" to Marie RENOUF (~1635-?) x Isaac CAREYE (1632-1685) from Guernsey, and like you, I would like to know where they come from in France. And when...
"My" Marie RENOUF is the daughter of Jean RENOUF and Catherine GIBAULT. RENOUF and GIBAULT are french family names, like many other names associated to the CAREYE family (and maybe CAREYE comes from CARRE, another french name).

How do you know your RENOUF (who are they ?) come from the department of "La Manche" in Normandy ? There is a lot of RENOUF in La Manche. So if you have more precise datas, I can try to do some research here in France. If they aren't too ancient...
