Dear Jacky, Thank you for your gracious interest in assisting our family to locate my daugher-in-law's Renouf forbears.
This is how the relationship goes. Her paternal grandmother was Fredaline Annie Renouf born 7 Dec 1888 in Mt Helier, Jersey, CI, married 11 Jun 1913 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She died 30 Sep 1959 in Seattle, King County, Washington state, USA. Her spouse was George Basil Lindsey who was from California. I have not heard how they got together and married in Canada.
The parents of Fredaline were:
father, Joseph Renouf born 5 Oct 1865 in St Helier, Jersey CI
mother, Elzabeth Clementine Jeune b. 11 May 1964, St. Helier
Their marriage was St. Helier on 29 Sep 1887
other known children of theirs were Christine, Clifford and Robert.
The parents of Joseph were:
father, Philippe Renouf born 1825 in St Helier
mother, Lucy Le Sueur born 1830 in St.Helier
Their marriage was in 1850.
other known children of theirs were Susan, Phip W, Marguerite, Alfred, Francis, Clara and Walter. Joseph is listed as the seventh child.
That is as much as we have on the Renouf ancestors.
