I am curious are you indicating that the Kollinger name was from the villiage of Collin in France? Germanized as being from the village of Collin would be Colliner? Or am I missing something here?
I suspected they where originally from the Village of Galling in Bayern?
I find the Kollingers mostly in Southern Germany and Austria? Of Course many of the went to Hungary and others were Donauschwaben and others moved on to Russia.
Are You related to the Anton Kollinger of Florida? I believe his family was eather from the Batschka or Banat?
Best regards
Kurt
