James- I went to Unity cemetary on Saturday morning and talked to the caretaker. He said that there is no record of Jacob being buried there. The cemetary was origionally run by a Presbyterian church, when it closed it converted to a public cemetary. The church sometimes kept records, but not always, so if Jacob was buried there when it was a church run cemetary and no record was kept and he wasn't marked, or the stone isn't readable, then there's no way to find him. I found Charlotte and Daniel and Emmett. They are in section F the same as John, Orpha, Eugene and Ruth. Emmet is in the center by himself (1894-1910), Charlotte is about 4 rows from the front, to the right of the mausoleums. She has a big, fancy stone with exact dates on it- Daniel is written in on her stone with just the years. John and Orpha and Eugene and Ruth are buried along the road on the right side about 3/4 of the way up the hill. There are no unreadable stones in that section that could be Jacob. Someone went through in the 1970's and recorded all the old stones, if he's in there, the stone was unreadable by then. I went to the Latrobe Library and found an obituary for Charlotte, but the copier was broken, so I left the name, date and page and 50 cents for the librarian to mail me a copy. There was no obituary for Daniel or for Robert Davis. Robert Davis is not buried at Unity, at least it's not on record. I went to the library in Greensburg and there were no obituaries for any of them. I will try to check out the cemetary in McChesneytown. The thought never occured to me to look for Jacob and Sarah in Westmoreland County. I'll let you know if I find anything. Colleen
