I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . Two of our men are Francis & Wenzel Ressler. They both enlisted at Portage, Columbia co., WI on 20 Aug 1862 so I believe they are related, probably brothers or close cousins.
This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
The format we are using is as follows: (We have their service records)

Son of (Names of both parents, their dates/place of birth & death & burial: marriage date and
place(s) of residence.
Siblings:(Include spouses but not birth/death dates or their children)

Post-war achievements: Include membership in organizations, offices held, church affiliation, etc.

Burial
