The 1870 Federal Census from Strasburg, Lancaster County, PA lists the family of Jacob and Mary Ressler with 8 children. One of those children is my 2nd great grandfather Phares Ressler b. 1860. One of his brothers was Enos Ressler. Other children were Adam, Aaron, Thaddeus, Galen, Violet, and Naomi. There was also another Jacob Ressler b. 1795 listed, as well, that lived separately from this family. I am assuming that Jacob b. 1795 is the father of my Jacob, but I can't prove it. I would be interested in the records compiled by Mrs. Enos Ressler in 1923. If there is a connection, I have the descendant line from Phares Ressler to present. Phares moved to Missouri around 1880.
