Hello Don,
This is one of the first posts that I've seen that can get me real close to what I'm looking for.
I was in Johnstown to bury my grandmothers second husband named Robert Saylor in 1994.
I live in las Vegas and my name is Ronald L Ressler Jr. I Haven't been doing much research lately
and when I talked to my father about our families history, he really doesn't seem to know
much. Once, a while ago, when the subject came up he mentioned something about Armaugh.
He told me that when his dad got a promotion at the steel mill back in the late 40's they moved from
Johnstown up to Cramer, where they built a lovely little ranch style house that I got to see about twenty-
five years ago. He says this place Cramer was mostly a village as you refer to armaugh, in which basically
only his family members lived cousins, uncles and whathaveyou . Mostly all Resslers. My grandfathers name was Carl, but it seems most of the people called him Ted (Ressler).
My grandfather died sometime around 1955 from Pneumonia my father used to tell me, but my grandmother
mentioned to me before she died that he and the rest of the resslers in Cramer had a liking for
john barleycorn, so who knows, he was probably around 45-50 when he died.
Do you know of any of these people???
Any suggestion of how to gather more info
Are we related
Thanks
Ron
