James- James was born 23 Sep 1855 in Indiana County and was married twice. His first wife was Margaret Brown-they had no children and she left him and it took three years for the court to grant him a divorce. He then married Margaret Jane Smith- daughter of James and Elizabeth (Bowser) smith. They had ten kids-Daisy married Sam Rager (my great-grandparents),Emmanuel, Lawrence,Jacob, Dollie married Adam Rager and had Thelma, eleanora and Margaret, William, James, Sarah married Robert Brett and then Leo Peace, Harry and Frank. My understanding is that when Jacob came to PA he settled in Blair County and married Sarah Helsel there, somewhere in the vicinity of Roaring Springs. They moved to Indiana county after they were married. I had been told that John Helsel and Jane Tipton were her parents, but I never searched further on her side. Paul Murphy is my Uncle. I have names dates and obituaries on a lot of these people and have found many of the graves. I have never found Jacob and Sarah and suspect that they're not marked, or the stones aren't readable. How is John Ressler, married to Orpha Knight related? I had been under the impression that he was a son of Daniel and Charlotte. Colleen
