Reva,
On a recent trip to New York, I was fortunate enough to visit Ellis Island. While I was there I saw some information that seemed to point the origin of our name to England. We took our name from a town in England. Unfortunately I didnt have to time to look into it further. I am actively researching this myself. I am trying to narrow down the year that our family came over to America. The only other thing that I found was that we did NOT come thru Ellis Island.
