I'll have to get into my Pitts notes and get back to you. I know that for a while they were in Virginia, but I''m not sure if that was directly before Lauderdale County, or not. I'll let you know when I get a chance to pull all that stuff out.
As far as Imri and Lucy, I know nothing about them after the 1880 census. Their daughter Cora was my grandfather's mother. She died when he was about 14 and I don't think his family kept in contact with Cora's side after that. My grandmother told me that my grandfather's step-mother wasn't the nicest woman in the world (kinda like the inspiration for Cinderella's step-mother, apparently), so since my grandad never seemed to know much about his mother or her family, it's my speculation that there wasn't much contact there. Again, just my speculation.....
