Sorry to interupt, but this is rather crazy,i also am looking for information of a Farm Revis of S.C. who was sentenced to prision in 1895,with my Gr---grandpa-Josiah Bud Chapman and a few other men for running stills, they had escaped, some moved to Wa. state. Then some served time. My grandpa was shot and killed by the sheriff of Picken C.O S.C.(john Lewis)for a crime he did not commit. The man who done the crime latter confesed to it. It is origionally said that a man by the name of Whitmire turned them in. Then latter his neighbor Silas Hinkle.
Just thought it to be rather odd, same last name-same town.
Don't know if Farm Revis was his real name or nickname.
But show's on court record's him being Farm Revis.
Wonder if they were Kin? Or if we are actually talking Abt. the same thing? Whitmire was from Transylvania.
