Can you tell from the census if this household was in the Old Fort area? I seem to remember seeing the old house where some of the children were born, years ago, between Old Fort and Sugar Hill.

I was pretty sure of the name "Walter D.", but don't have anything in writing against which to double-check. I also know that there seems to be a strong tendency in this family to go by middle names. "Charles Walter" known as just "Walter" would fit right in.

If this household is near (not in, but near) Old Fort, I think you just may have found the right family. :)

Thanks again, Barb!
