I have a Catherine "Kitty" Rex in the line that I am researching. She was married to a Joseph Burson. Kitty died 11 October 1873 and is buried in Richmond, Jefferson Co., Ohio.
It is not a fit with your Catherine, but there maybe a connection.
I have looked at the Rex genealogy in the NGS Quarterly Dec. 1980 issue (Vo;. 68, No. 4) that deals mainly with a Rex Family of Germantown, PA during the period 1682-1772.
I may have some more information on the Rex Family from a family genealogy book I have ordered from the Higginson Book Co., will Keep you posted if there is any more Information.
