There was someone who said they were hunting a Sigel Bumgardner, and I believe hey said he was in Oregon. But couldn't find him, and couldn't make a connection with them. This makes a little more sense. Wonder if Harmon was son of Sarah and Sigel? Did you have an obit for Mary Ashley? Would you share it with me? Dudley was son of Sarah and according to the 1880 census. Dudley's death certificate was signed by a Mrs. J. C. Carter,and it just clicked that maybe that was his sister Betty, married to a Carter. Will check the death records for Missouri. Please contact me at my email address, and I can share what I have with you.
