By all means do - I am more than happy to share what I know with you and learn anything from you that may help me in understanding my own background.

You really should read the books by Sannie Metelerkamp (spelling?) and Patricia Storrar. Those books refer to stuff that is available in the UK government records for anybody to see.

I am 51 and a great great great great great grandson of George Rex of Knysna.

My Dad and a distant cousin compiled and published a small book on the family tree about 30 years ago. My Mom has the only copy I am aware of. I recognised the Ungerer name immediately. I shall look for your family in that book when I see it again.
