I visited your Rhode family website and find that my family tree links into yours. Arvilla Hannah Rhode(s)is my great-great grandmother. Their dau Ora Emma was born in Pine Village in 1880. Next, dau Cora Alice was born in 1884 in Grand Rapids, MI, followed by James Sanford in 1887.Hannah or Hattie was born in 1889, but died in 1890. When Cora was around 6 yrs old the family went west and settled in Deer Park, WA, near Spokane, where Estella Mae was born in 1891. George Bailey was said to be a druggist, had a drug store in Deer Park, and was a band leader. He was killed by a runaway team in a wheatfield accident in Nov 1893, and his son George Henry was born in May of 1894. Arvilla then married an Englishman, James Fowell,in Feb 8, 1896, and had 3 more children. The Fowell children are: Sara Elizabeth born Dec 1896, Harry 1899, and Muriel Arvilla 1903. Cora Alice Bailey is my great grandmother. She married John Sanford Clark in 1899, and had 6 children: Austin Sanford, Roland John, Arvilla Letitia, David George, Frank Henry, and Musette Martha, who is my grandmother. Musette married William Heideman, of German/Norwegian ancestry in 1936, my dad David William was born in 1937.
Thank you for the very nice family history website. It has added some clues for me about my ancestors. I also have a half dozen Union soldiers on both sides of my family who served with Indiana and Ohio volunteers, one died in Andersonville.
