The Rhyan family in Vigo Co. is not actually Rhyans. They are Ormans from Lancaster Co. Penn. (Amish/Mennonites) migrated to Ohio and Indiana. The Orman/Auman/Amman family are Pennsylvania Dutch from Germany/France and from the Rhine/Rhein regions. My living relatives dont know why they changed the name. That is why all documents only go so far when using the Rhyan name. Maybe they split from the Amish. Im still trying to find out.
