I just recalled something else:My father grew up with a first cousin who was nicknamed "Bugsy".He and my dad were the same age, so since they were in school together from childhood through high school, they were very close, more like brothers than cousins.
Bugsy was killed in World War II, and although I'm not absolutely sure about it, I don't think his body was ever found.Somewhere in my house I have a photo of the memorial marker which, to the best of my recollection, is behind McDonald Baptist Church in the Ebenezer (?) Cemetery.
