Thanks for the reply. Simeon Brant/Brand moved through New York State and died in Angelica, New York. What happened to Phineas is not clear. My Simeon Brant, and some of his siblings lived for a while in Macedon in what is now Wayne County, New York before coming on to Berrien County, Michigan. I live in Niles but was raised in the small town of New Troy. Some of the Brant family claim Phineas was Simeon's father while others claim it is the Simeon who died in Angelica. I believe it was Phineas but have no proof. I think some others would prefer the other Simeon as he was a Revolutionary War Soldier?
