Bill, hi, thanks very much for all those names. You are so right, she could have been listed as any of those names,
but, ive got a fairly good idea of the family during their life in ENGLAND, they were a hard working family, religious
and proud of their familys history. Ive a family bible with all the family listed back to 1774, dates of birth and christening dates and where they were born.

I dont remember in any of the records that I have, about 4 books full of the ENGLISH family and nowhere have the names
changed, when they all married and died etc.

Its only after FANNY HEWITT emigrated to the USA, 7 sept 1886, into New York Harbor that my records have come to a halt.
she was born 29 July 1866, christened 3 weeks later 16 August 1866 in LIVERPOOL ENGLAND, mother and father
ELLEN and JOSHUA HEWIT.

she worked in the cotton mills in ENGLAND as a cotton spinner when she was 13 (1879) right up to the time when she emigrated (1886) and I suppose that around that time when the immigrants were flooding into USA and NEW YORK
in particular that they would move her out into the country where the cotton industry was thriving, down the south of the country if im correct?
I sure she wouldnt have been hanging around New York for years.

Thanks again for that list, im gonna work my way through all the names and see what i can find, keeping my fingers,
and anything else crossed that I come up with her.

cheers and thanks. EDDIE.
