I am looking for information on Thomas Spencer Harvey b. 1794 Washington County RI. He married Rhoda Root b. 1794 Litchfield CT. My line descends from Thomas' son Thomas Judson (AKA Judson Thomas) Harvey through his daughter Ada Almarinda Harvey b. 1850 Ashtabula County OH.
My research to date shows the following possibilities:
1800 Census Rhode Island:
There aretwo (2) possible households for our Thomas Harvey who would be 5-6 years of age. The first is that of one Thomas Harvey. one male under 10, one male 26-44, three females under 10, 1 female 10-15 and one female 26-44 The second is that of Edward Harvey. One male under 10, one male 10-15, one male 26-44, two females under 10, 1 female 16-25. Both are listed in South Kingstown, Washington County, Rhode Island. The two gentleman appear side by side for the next census. However, in 1810, Edward does not have a male that fits our Thomas Harvey.
1810 Census Rhode Island:
There are two (2) possible Households for our Thomas Harvey who would be approximately 15 years of age at the time of the census. The first household is that of James Harvey of Hopkinton, Washington County, Rhode Island. The census lists him as head of household over 45 with one male 16-25, one female under 10, one female 10-15 and one female over 45. The second household is that of Thomas Harvey of South Kingstown, Washington County, Rhode Island. The census lists him as head of household over 45 with one male 10-15, one female under 10 and one female 45+.
Does anyone have a lead on who Thomas Spencer Harvey's parents and siblings may be? This line of Harvey is tied to the MORE line of Roxbury New York.
Any help would be appreciated.
