Here's what I found in The Westerly, R.I. City Directories::

1901-1902, no mention
1903-1904, James, John, and Thomas Broadfoot, all are stonecutters, and are living together on High St.
1915, James T. Broadfoot died Feb 13, 1915
1915, Lillian M. Broadfoot, widow of James T. Broadfoot

Westerly was known for it's granite industry, so James worked in one of several Westerly quarries.

I'll post if I find anything else on him.
