I spent the last couple of days in Toronto on business. The telephone book there had some spellings of Rial that I had not yet seen on this continent. The spellings are all cross referenced. For example under Ryall, it says see also Riehl, Riehle, Riel. The two Riehl, and Riehle I had seen in some documents from Gaelic language countries, but it appears that at least in Canada some emigrants kept these spellings.
