Yes Sharon, in Iran and Oman, the monetary unit is the Rial. Also in Spain, some centurys ago, use the Real, and also was named Real the piece of 25 centimes (a quarter of Peseta). Is very interesting and a big surprise that Rial is a very frecuent Surname in many countries arround the World.
