My Great, great grandfather was William Myrton Ryhal (spouse Mary Ellen Brest). One of their sons, Frank, was my grandfather. According to his dau., my mother, one of her uncles supposedly changed the spelling from Richel (also sometimes spelled Richael) but she didn't know the reason. I'm not so sure about Rial as I have not found that in any of our family records or info. My mom is 91 and was the eldest dau. and she seems to have given me a lot of accurate input over the yrs. Would you like to exchange more info? Hope you pick up my message. Carol
