George Ribble, Capt. 1st Co. Sussex County Militia; Knowlton, Feb 21, 1776. Commissioned June 6 1777
Active Service: Commanded his company serving at Amboy, fall of 1776; commanded his company of 63 men seving at Elizabethtown under Col. Silvanus Seely, Jan 22nd to Feb 1778
Militia raised for the defense of the frontiers.. served at Minnisink
still residing in Sussex County in 1807
