John Killian and Anna Maria (Bohnestiel) Richer of Berlin, Rensselaer County, NY had seven surviving children, or Anna Margaret, John, Nicholas, Jacob, David, Catharina Maria, and Anna.John and Jacob remained in Rensselaer County with their families and Anna Margaret married John Hall and later resided in Oswego County.
Interestingly, four of the others migrated to Chenango County, New York, in the early 1800s.Nicholas who married Anna Wilcox lived in Columbus.David died in Berlin and his widow, Abigail, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Reynolds, moved her family of seven children to the Lincklaen area where she was later remarried to Thomas Wolcott in 1818.Catharina Maria married Cary Y. Reynolds, possible brother to Abigail who had married David Richer, and lived in the South Otselic area of Chenango County.Lastly, Anna Richer who was born 7 April 1789 married David Pendleton son of Simeon and Tabitha (Niles) Pendleton before 1810 when she was noted as an heir to her father's estate in Berlin, Rensselaer County, NY along with her siblings.
Simeon Pendleton moved to Chenango County where his will, dated 18 December 1822, was proved 24 January 1832 according to Everett Hall Pendleton in his family history, "The Pendleton Genealogy".Simeon was buried at New Berlin, Chenango County, NY.David was noted in Simeon's will in 1822.Tabitha (Niles) Pendleton died at Westerly, Rhode Island, 21 February 1842.David Pendleton was said to have settled in Ohio, had one son John, but no trace of his descendants has ever been found.I too have researched this family and have found no trace.Perhaps, the Simeon Pendleton estate file in Chenango County would provide more data. For example, Everett Pendleton also mentions that Simeon Pendleton Jr was named his father's executor; but, it was also noted that Simeon Jr had died in 1828...four years before the will was proved in 1832.What else might be in the estate settlement is unknown at this time.
So...is Anna Richer who married David Pendleton the Anna who became Amy Davis wife of Joshua Davis?
But I must also ask why is it that you believe that Amy Davis was a Richer?Have you found proof of her maiden name?
Or is she Amy Straight which you have indicated in all of your previous research published in a number of internet sites?
